Speaking of
Penny and Carey
Carey and I met in 1997 on a Medical Mission trip to Honduras. Carey was a medical resident at the time, and I was a Speech Language Pathologist working as an Area Vice President for a national rehab company. We ended up sitting on the plane together where we started a friendship; and one year later we were married.
We have been married for 22 years now. We have three children and two Yorkies. Yorkies have been a part of my life since childhood. I love to cook; and have been cooking since I was about 12 years old. Carey and I have also been a part of a pre-marriage ministry for about 16 years now, so this is one of our passions, in addition to traveling, and creating a home that is filled with love and traditions.
Carey is a Med-Ped's physician, which means he is dually certified in both Adult Internal Medicine and in Pediatrics. In other words, he sees every age! His passion is obviously medicine, and he looks forward to passing on some good medical information.
I am still a Speech Language Pathologist who works with kids, and specializes in stuttering.
We wanted to start a blog for fun, but also to share with others the things that we are most passionate about, mainly....food, family, marriage, medicine, ...and Yorkies. We also share a strong faith in God that brought us together, and continues to give us passion in our every day life.
We hope you enjoy our blog!
Much love,
Penny and Carey
