Penny Tries RR 30 Minute Meal: Take-Out Lemon Chicken, Special Rice and Hot Sesame Green Beans!


This is one of Rachael's first 30 minute meals. It is SO good, and you can really make all 3 dishes in 30 minutes...it just takes a little coordination! If you like Take-out Asian Food, and you like the taste of Lemon, you should love this fast meal! You can still find this episode if you need some visual instruction. šŸ˜

This chicken is so good!....and I love that the lemon flavor come from Lemon Curd. I thought it might be too sweet, but I really like it. Use less Lemond Curd at first, if you are concerned about the sweetness.

I LOVE this special rice. It has a sweet savory thing going on. I substituted Cran-raisins for golden rosins and currents. You could just use golden raisins or regular raisins. I think any dried fruit you like will work. You could even leave them out if you don't like sweet and savory mixed. I love the smoky cumin seasoning in the rice, and the almonds. If you don't like nuts, leave them out.

Hot Sesame Green Beans...YUM! Cook the green beans longer than 2 minute in the boiling water if you don't like a crisp green bean. I like them pretty soft. Really good spicy flavor!
